Graduate Program in Biomedical Science (GPBMS)

How to Apply

Applicants must submit a Texas Common Application through ApplyTexas. Detailed instructions for completing the ApplyTexas application may be found here.

In order for an application to be considered, you must submit all of the following:

  • An official transcript from all previous colleges or Universities attended
  • Official GRE scores
    • Bryan/College Station, Houston and Temple applicants, use the GRE Institutional Code: 6151
    • Dallas applicants, use the GRE Institutional Code: 6059
  • Official TOEFL score, if applicable
    • Bryan/College Station, Houston, and Temple applicants, use the TOEFL Institutional Code: 6151
    • Dallas applicants, use the TOEFL Institutional Code: 6059
  • Three letters of recommendation (see below)

 

Admissions Deadline

Admissions for the GPBMS is open from September 1 to May 31 for the following Fall semester. However, in order to be fully considered, applicants should complete and submit their application no later than December 15.  There is no consideration for Spring semester admissions.

 

Application Fees

International applicants must pay a $75 application fee.  Payment must be in the form of a cashier's check or money order. 

Domestic applicants will not be charged an application fee.

 

Letters of Recommendation

Applicants must submit three (3) letters of recommendation. You must use the official SGS Recommendation Form when submitting recommendations.  Letters of recommendation should be completed by individuals who are familiar with your scholastic abilities and achievements, such as former professors.

How to Apply

  • Official TOEFL score, if applicable (Use TOEFL Institutional Code 6151)

Admissions Deadline

Admissions for the Fall semester are open from January 1 to April 15.

Admissions for the Spring semester are open from July 1 to October 15.
