Important: All applicants to the School of Graduate Studies Graduate Program in Public Health Sciences should consult the School of Rural Public Health Admissions webpage. The information provided on the remainder of this page applies only to those students wishing to pursue a degree in the School of Graduate Studies Graduate Program in Biomedical Science.

How to Apply
All applicants to the School of Graduate Studies Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences must submit a Texas Common Application through ApplyTexas. Detailed instructions for completing the ApplyTexas application may be found here.
In order for an application to be considered, you must submit all of the following:
- An official transcript from all previous colleges or Universities attended
- Official GRE scores
- Bryan/College Station, Houston and Temple applicants, use the GRE Institutional Code: 6151
- Dallas applicants, use the GRE Institutional Code: 6059
- Official TOEFL score, if applicable
- Bryan/College Station, Houston, and Temple applicants, use the TOEFL Institutional Code: 6151
- Dallas applicants, use the TOEFL Institutional Code: 6059
- Three letters of recommendation (see below)
Admissions Deadline
Admissions for the Graduate Program in Biomedical Science is open from September 1 to May 31 for the following Fall semester. However, in order to be fully considered, applicants should complete and submit their application no later than January 15.
Application Fees
Application fees differ depending on your citizenship status and the campus you apply to.
- Domestic applicants applying to the Bryan/College Station, Houston, or Temple campuses will not be charged an application fee.
- International applicants applying to the Bryan/College Station, Houston, or Temple campuses will be charged a $75 application fee.
- All applicants (domestic and international) applying to the Dallas campus will be charged a $35 application fee.
Letters of Recommendation
In order to apply to the SGS Graduate Program in Biomedical Science, you must submit 3 letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be completed by individuals who are familiar with your scholastic abilities and achievements, such as former professors. Please be sure to complete the correct letter of recommendation form based on the campus to which you are applying.
- Letter of Recommendation - Bryan/College Station, Temple Applicants
- Letter of Recommendation - Dallas Applicants
- Letter of Recommendation - Houston Applicants
Document Submission
Transcripts, Application Fees, and Letters of Recommendation related to applications to the Graduate Program in Biomedical Science should be sent directly to the campus to which you are applying.
