Mission:

The mission of the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is to provide effective support and leadership throughout the Health Science Center for the establishment, coordination, and support of academic training programs in the health sciences. This mission is supported by a primary goal within the SGS: to educate the next generation of biomedical, public health, and clinical researchers and educators while promoting innovative research programs in the biomedical, clinical, and translational sciences.

Student Learning Outcomes:

All students who graduate from the School of Graduate Studies will display proficiency in each of the seven Student Learning Outcomes established for the various graduate programs.  Student Learning Outcomes are accompanied by strategies, methods of assessment, and performance targets which are specific to each program.  These assessment measures (and subsequent results) allow program administration to actively monitor program effectiveness and to make improvements based on current data.   Through this, the SGS strives to "close the loop" in order to provide the most effective graduate experience possible.
